Walnuts, pecans, whole almonds:
2 1/2 c. nuts
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together in a pan over medium heat until liquid is evaporated. Let cool. Toss in your favorite salad.
Slivered Almonds:
1 c. almonds
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
Mix together in a pan over medium heat. Remove right when it starts to crystalize. Watch closely because it happens fast and they can burn.
